Static load test in Hanover
Up to 40,000 kN, own loading platform and beam system. For Hanover and southern Lower Saxony, with own measurement technology and travel distance about 2.5 hours from Gotha.
What the test delivers.
The direct proof per DIN EN ISO 22477-1. The load-settlement line shows the real load behaviour under sustained load, up to 40,000 kN test force. Basis for foundation optimisation and for any disputed proof.
Details on the method are on the service page Static load test.
Boulder clay and meltwater sands of the Saale glaciation, underlain by mesozoic marl and clay, locally salt domes with leaching phenomena. Sand and marl alternate over short distances.
A pile in boulder clay carries differently from one in the sand next to it, even though both are the same length. Without testing the difference only becomes visible once the structure settles unevenly.
Static load test in four steps.
- Structural design of the reaction system, coordination with structural engineering
- Setup of loading platform or beam system
- Load programme in load steps, measure settlement to the millimetre
- Evaluation, load-settlement line, report suitable for verification
The structural engineer gets numbers instead of assumptions. Measured bearing capacity allows a proof per Eurocode 7 without blanket safety margins.
Hanover and southern Lower Saxony is geologically inconsistent. The test shows what the pile carries at exactly this spot, not what the ground model would suggest.
Differential settlement causes cracks, tilting and re-foundation. Tested piles are the cheapest part of structural stability.
